Events 2022

Books play quintessential role in everyone’s life by introducing them to a world of imagination, writing and speaking habits.
DHA Public Library had organized a book launching ceremony last week, which went very well.
Number of renowned writers, columnists, educationalists,senior citizen’s and above this grand grand son of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan( Mr Asad Ullah Khan) made the event more graceful.
It was acknowledged at all tiers of educational forum with remarkable words.
Book (علم،عمل،زندگی) written by Dr Sohaib Hasan Murad(late) is worth reading, his wife Dr Naushaba Hasan ,Chairperson UMT is representing on his behalf.Book is available for members.

On 28th Feb, A lecture on environmental preservation was arranged by DPL in seminar hall,where guest speaker Engr Mumtaz Hussain shared his fruitful knowledge to august gathering of DHA residents and other members.</span.

Mr.Fida Hussain has made efforts in consolidating fruitful information about “Surah Yaseen” and Daily Salah.He being a writer  visited lib and presented his researched booklet amongst desirous members.

We thank him for this kind gesture being a non member and pray for his success in his further research work!

DHA Public Library celebrated “Founder of Pakistan” Day on 22 Dec 2022 at Public Library Z Block Phase 3. The purpose was to pay rich tribute and Homage to the Founding Heros of Pakistan where Mian Iqbal Salahuddin was also present. The ongoing activities of the evening included interactive sessions, poetry, and speeches. The occasion was also graced by Mr. Asad Ullah Khan, the Great grandson of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. This event was an effort made by the DHA management to salute the heroes of Pakistan, therefore attracting the youth towards intellectual discussions.

Iqbal week was celebrated at DPL to pay tribute to our National poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal for his concrete efforts in emerging independent country Pakistan, A special corner was dedicated for setting up his books for awareness and inspiration of our young generation. Available male ,female and senior members attended the event, where emphasis was given on Iqbal vision in building a Nation through his powerful poetry.

Eid Milad Ul Nabi (PBUH) week was celebrated in DHA Public Library as Milad Week from 3 – 9 Oct 2022, on Fri.Where DPL Staff and avaliable members very delightedly participated to pay tribute to our Prophet(PBUH) by highlighting his Seerat and dynamic personality for entire world as

DHA Library is celebrating Defence week from 06 Sep to 11th Sep to pay tribute to our soldiers on scarifying their lives on defending solidarity of our country Pakistan. Ceremony was held on 6th Sep, where available members participated. Senior citizens shared their personal experiences of 1965/71 war and emphasised importance of independence. Later OIC Lib also highlighted main gallantry of each Shaheed, who embraced Shahadat and were awarded Nishan e Haider. On this occasion, he also announced opening of new Library at Phase-VII

DHA Public Library celebrated 75th Independence day with zeal & enthusiasm. Library ambiance was decently decore with bloons and flags. Ceremony started of with National Anthem by DPL Staff and available male/female members. A patriotic talk was given by senior and young members followed up by In charge Library. Who emphasized on true history of Pakistan and motivated all of them to build a Nation.

An Art Exhibition was organised in DHA library from 21-24 June as awareness compaingn amongst new generation to engage into creativity. Opening of the exhibition was done by Chief Guest Mrs. Secretary DHA. Couple of renowned personalities attended the event as guest of honours which includes, poet Mr Amjad Islam Amjad, A coach and speaker/writter Mr Qaisar Abbas Shah and Mrs. Zeshan Zia founder of book 101 incredible women. They all emphasized importance of Art and book reading. They left a message for youngster’s to be benefitted from books by visiting libraries.
